How to Improve Google Page Rank
May 15, 2009
Google page rank is Very Important For a web Page. Google Page rank will mean different to different people. To the surfers it will mean a website of high credibility though only if the surfer is aware of what it means and has the google toolbar downloaded. The surfer would like to spend some time on the site going through what it has to offer when the page rank is high. But it is not always so.

Then what it is that will make the surfer sit up and notice the site, spend some time on it and at the same time the site’s Page rank is also improved. If you have not guessed it then let me tell you - its the content. As they say it everywhere - Content is King. Writing quality content is just not anybody's job especially for the web when there are thousands of websites providing similar content on a particular topic. Still we like to go to some particular sites only and then grow loyal to them. It is a proven fact that proper high quality information is very important to get the user to spend more time on your site.

Secondly getting back links is very important and play a big role in getting the Page rank of a site improved. If the links are one way, its all the more better. In two way linking or reciprocal linking where your site gets linked to another site in exchange, links are leaked out which decreases the Page Rank. Inbound links are the best if you can get them and yes you can get them. The magic word is “article submission”. You need to write some great articles that are related to the genre of your website and post to the sites that accept articles of all categories along with a link to your website. This way you will get one way links. But it is not as easy as it seems. In general, webmasters can improve the rank of their sites by increasing the number of high-quality sites that link to their pages. Always avoid hidden link.
The articles have to be worthy enough to be read by those who are searching for them on the net. So if you cannot write them yourself then hire a professional writer.

Now you know how to get rid of that lower Page Rank and be visible on the search results of major search engines. A high Page rank does mean that Google finds the site to be informative and useful thus getting it viewed by more and more target viewers.

Most Common SEO Mistakes
May 6, 2009
The Most Common SEO mistakes that can let your page ranking down and thus creating an adverse effect on your web marketing.

Creating a duplicate title tag is one of the most common mistakes in SEO work. The title tag is the words or phrases, which appear at the top of the browser when the page is displayed and is what the search engines display for the first line of the site link in their results. Search engines give a lot of importance to the title tags. When more than one page display the same title tag, the search engines discount those pages’ importance.

Although Meta tags have off late lost their significance in the larger search engines, it is possible to misuse them, which in the long run damage the site. The biggest mistake with Meta tags is for the Meta description to be the same for every page. Pages with duplicate Meta descriptions can never fetch good rankings. The same goes for the Meta keywords tag. Only those keywords found on that page should appear in the keyword tag. Also, one has to remember not to put the same word in the Meta tag descriptions more than thrice.

Internal linking very often creates a big problem. Too many links in a site can force the search engine spider to quit indexing the site before it is actually finished. Google restricts a site from having not more than 100 links on a page. It is of course better to restrict it at 50 Links.
For better SEO results, the links should always be made with text. Many web designers use images for their linking. This is not at all effective for optimization purposes. Another important to keep in mind is that the navigation system should never be in any form of java script, Flash, or image map.

It is always advisable to remember, not to stuff keywords by having too many links on the same page with the same word or words.

And last but not the least, it is important to keep multiple links on every page of your site has. Pages, which have only one incoming link, cannot expect good ranks. They may even be placed into Google’s supplemental index. It can be difficult to work a page out of the supplemental index once it is in there.

Linking to other sites have to be done with lot of care too. Spamming has become such a problem that the search engines have really changed their algorithms with respect to linking. A musical instrument site simply cannot be linked to a kitchen apparatus site. The incoming links needed to be coming from related sites or sites with a similar theme.

How Different is Internet Marketing Services from Search Engine Marketing?
May 5, 2009
To hit the nail on the head, Internet Marketing Services is the trunk and search engine marketing is a branch of a tree. Any product or service under the sun needs proper marketing to become duly profitable as we know. Proper marketing makes people aware about the products’ availability and convince the buyer to buy the product/s. Internet marketing services specifically works for the online promotion of your products and search engine marketing is one of the techniques to do so. Internet marketing services specifically focuses on the target audience by opting for apt advertising type, media and design.

Herein comes the usage of Search Engine Optimization Service, which helps the website achieve higher ranking in search result pages of the top engines. This, in turn, helps in increasing the incoming traffic to the website from search engine results. Paid placements and paid inclusions in top search engines are other search engine marketing techniques.

PPC Search Engine Internet Marketing or Pay Per Click Service is one of the most effective and widely preferred techniques for search engine marketing. Apart from being used in search engine results pages, it is also employed in advertising networks, websites and blogs. Advertisers have to pay only for the number of clicks that occur. They bid on key phrases or keywords that are related to their target market. Whenever a user searches for a keyword that matches the advertisers’ keywords list, or visits a webpage with relevant content matching the advertisers’ keywords, the advertisements are displayed. These advertisements are called sponsored links or sponsored advertisements.

It can be said that if Internet marketing services is the human body then search engine marketing is a limb. Search engine marketing is possible through search engine optimization service as well as other significant techniques. Internet marketing, on the other hand, covers every aspect of online marketing of which search engine marketing is a part. Both are in no way at loggerheads; in fact, they are very much interlinked. One is incomplete without the other.
